Message from the principal

Dear Sandy Miller Families:
Please know that our staff at Miller is here to support you as best we can.  Many of you are trying to serve in three separate roles at home - parent, teacher, and worker.  All of these roles are challenging just by themselves. Remember that when you have to choose, because at some point you will, choose connection with your child.  Choose playing a game rather than arguing over an academic assignment.  Your child can get back to that assignment later.  Choose teaching your child how to fold laundry rather than get frustrated because they are not helping.  Choose laughing and snuggling with your child and helping them to feel safe. Many of you are struggling with unimaginable stress due to the ripple effects of this virus. Children are very intuitive and can feel the stress. We are all doing the best we can in these extraordinary times.
Our teachers and staff members have been reaching out to provide support for academics and to provide resources. This has been done through email, Class Dojo, Remind, phone calls, etc.  I hope that all families have made contact with their child's teacher by this point.  Please ask questions and let us know how we can better support, whether it's about school and academics, or community services.  If your child's teacher does not have the answer, chances are someone on our staff does.  You can find contact information on our website,  You can also email us at
Please let  your child know that they are missed by their teachers.  Remind them to be caring and kind and that we are all looking forward to seeing them soon!
Kind regards,
Ms. Muth
